Julia Jade

Songwriting

Julia Jade is a singer-songwriter, promoter, and educator from Los Angeles. She is a Berklee College of Music graduate who earned her first music industry job in Nashville, TN after an award-winning country songwriter's colleague heard her play an original song and offered her an internship. That same original song would be licensed for a commercial for the clothing company Torrid just one year later. She is currently the booker and host of the bi-monthly concert series "Slumber Party Sessions" at Hotel Cafe, in which artists play original songs in their pajamas. From LA to Boston to Nashville, she has brought her penchant for introspective storytelling and songs of social conscience everywhere she’s gone. She has acted as a producer, dramaturg, and thought partner for multiple new musicals, one of which is currently being developed for Broadway. Julia adores the craft of songwriting and enjoys demystifying the writing process. She has a knack for bringing out each artist's unique voice. In addition to her background in writing and performing, she also studied Music Education, giving her the tools to not only write but teach in an effective, nurturing and innovative way. She is ecstatic to be teaching with Grace Notes Music Studio and believes deeply in the mission and approach.
